The medium weight tweed of the Donegal Tweed Stand-Collar Jacket from country clothing and fishing tack shop Orvis is perfect for the transitional months. It is not heavy weight enough on its own for winter, but I'll be layering it up with chunky knits and faux-fur collar!
The jacket is nicely tailored around the waist and generous in booby room - I'm wearing the size 16 and could, if not for the boobs, have sized down to a 14. Unfortunately, it is now sold out in all but the size 14.
I've styled my tweed as though wearing it for a day in the office - with black, high-waisted, wide-legged trousers and a simple black vest top. I would probably throw on a red scarf to prevent from any chills but the weather was mild enough to do without when taking these photos.
I love the simplicity of outfits like this when I'm really not in the mood for complex styling - wide leg trousers and a simple camisole mixed with a sharply tailored blazer are the epitome of office chic and take hardly any concentration or thought.
I love the neutral tones of the tweed and thought to compliment these with my new burgundy and navy Fiorelli handbag.
I wanted a cross body bag for autumn, especially as I'm spending most of my time on crutches, and this handbag is the perfect size for throwing in my purse, a kindle, my sunnies, some lips and my phone. I have a habit of lugging around far too much stuff so I'm trying to minimalise my handbag. This bag is step 1!
Naturally, no country-inspired tweed is complete without a pooch ... and boy does mine just love taking part in my photoshoots!

I really love this jacket - a lot! And may have gone bit crazy with the over-wear. Do you do that when falling in love with a new item?
Here's some of the other ways I've styled it!
The jacket looks lovely on you. I love it when you find pieces that you want have gone into the sale!
