I love the lilac accents of the paisley print, it really breaks up the black and gives a nod to the subtle earthy colours that I associate with the 70s.
The dress is perhaps a little longer than I would like - I prefer my skirts super short, but that is a personal preference that few seem to share!
I'm wearing the size 18 and it is roomy but true to size. A 16 would probably have the girls bursting out - which wouldn't always be ideal!
I paired the crop with my tortoiseshell sunglasses that have a slight cats eye and my brown leather sandals from Primark. The shoes are very old but you can find similar in Dune at the moment (maybe to appear in my wardrobe sometime soon).
I feel a bit floppy hat wouldn't be amiss with this outfit and I may be investing in one soon!
I love the bell sleeves of this dress but I feel a more exaggerated shape would take the dress from cool to awesome!
I really love this dress, especially at such a bargain price! I feel it will transition well into Autumn (many many moons away) but pairing with opaque tights and knee-high tan boots - I'll probably keep the floppy hat!
What do you think? Have you found a 70s inspired piece you love? Or will you be avoiding this seasons hottest trend?
I'm loving the 70's vibe this summer! I'mgoing to be living in maxi's and floppy hats!
