All That Glitters - a plus sized party dress from Pink Clove

Sometimes, a girl just needs to sparkle!

Its no secret that I'm feeling down at the moment, I'm unable to walk more than a few steps unaided and my poor health means that I'm in almost constant pain.  This makes getting dolled up and feeling my very best before walking out the house so much more important than normal - especially at the time of year when there is party after party.

When I saw this beautiful Pink Clove dress on ASOS, I just knew I had to have it.  It shines with glamour and radiates screen siren! I wasn't disappointed and putting this on for a black tie event really made me feel special and lifted my mood dramatically!

I'm wearing a size 18 and it fits me very well - although, if you want a more figure hugging dress then you should size down.  I, personally, like that this dress hangs a little more freely than a body con dress as I feel the plunging neckline and thigh-high split is va-va-voom enough!

I've also had to pin the deep v-neck as it was a little too deep without.

I feel the gold shimmer of this dress calls for subtle accessories so I paired it with my go-to black heels and simple clutch bag.  I kept my hair and make up simple but did go for a more statement long earring.

I think, if a cover up is needed, this dress would look fantastic with little leather jacket or tailored blazer - in black, of course.

The dress is priced at £30 which is incredibly reasonable for an evening gown that could be worn to both a black tie event and a simply night out drinking cocktails with the girls.

My only, and very slight, criticism of this dress is that the glitter sheds everywhere.  I've actually stored this in a dry-cleaning bag to prevent the gold spreading to other clothes in my wardrobe.  I'm also worried how a washing machine will affect the level of gold on this dress.  I hand washed the item which seemed to work okay.
